You may have noticed that we've finally added some new reviews to the site.

John Stakes reviewed Michael Clayton and former KFC committee member Paul Buttle reviewed Bombs At Teatime for The Oldie magazine and kindly allowed us to publish it here.

Happy New Year

The new season started on Sunday with Michael Clayton scoring 78.1% by the audience. There are still lots of great films to come including The Assassination Of Jesse James..., Lust, Caution and The Diving Bell And The Butterfly and not one but TWO film festivals, visit the Festival Website for more details.

Christmas Dinner

We’d like to invite you to join us for dinner at The George on the evening of Sunday 16th December, following Waitress, a film chosen to lighten the mood before Christmas. Just a little more expensive than last year, but at £13.95 for four courses with plenty of choice, it appeared quite reasonable. So the first 50 to book their place will be the lucky ones…

KFC On The Road

KFC on the Road is screening Lawrence of Arabia tomorrow evening (Friday 12th Oct) at Mungrisdale Village Hall at 7pm (not 7:30 as previously advertised)

Short Film

Preceding The Seventh Seal on Sunday we’re screening Darren Horne’s new short The Midnight Barber, whose production was part-funded by KFC (that’s us, not the Colonel). Darren has said that he’ll try to snatch time off managing the Penrith Alhambra to come over to Keswick to introduce it. That’s at 5pm, of course, but the film lasts only 6 minutes, so don’t be late!
